DAY 01: KATHMANDU (1300M) - LHASA (3650M)

Fly (1hr.) to LHASA over crossing the highest Himalayan ranges of the world. Transfer by comfortable vehicle and check-in to your hotel. Remaining of the day will be rest for acclimatization. – Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: IN LHASA,
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit Potala enormous, UNESCO world heritage, and the palace of Norbulingka, respectively, winter and summer residences of the Dalai Lama. In the following visit to monastery of Sera. - Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03: IN LHASA,
Lhasa Breakfast at hotel. Visit the monastery of Deprung (founded 1416), home of the "Yellow Sect" and the temple of Nechung, home of the Oracle of Tibet was that contains rare paintings doesn't visible elsewhere. Also visit the historical center of the Barkhor the Jokhang Temple. - Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 04: LHASA – GYANTSE (3950 M) – XIGATSE (3900 M/360 KM),
Lhasa - Gyantse  After breakfast. Departure for the Tsangpo in Chusul, from where it goes to step Kampa La (4794 m), which offers a splendid view across the azure waters of Lake Yamdrok Tso (4450 m). Arrival in Gyantse (3900 m) once the center of control of caravans heading to Bhutan and Sikkim. Visit of Kumbum stupa, the largest "Chorten" existing in Tibet, with its 73 rooms decorated with frescoes by magnifche 27,000 Fgura Buddhist iconography, expression of Newari. The stupa is connected to Palkor Chode Monastery and continue drive to Shigatse (3900 m, 90 km), . When you arrive in Shigatse, visit the great monastery of Tashilumpo, full of priceless treasures, which was founded by the first Dalai Lama in 1447 and was the historic seat of the Panchen Lama. -Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 05: XIGATSE – RONGBUCK (5000 M/340 KM),
Morning visit  of Tashilumpo, full of priceless treasures, which was founded by the first Dalai Lama in 1447 and was the historic seat of the Panchen Lama. Drive to Rongbuck. Visit Rongbuck monastery. – Overnight at Guest house.

 

Day 06: RONGBUCK – SHAKYA (4050 M/270 KM),
Morning visit EBC and explore the area and drive to Shakya. Visit Shakya monastery.  - Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07: SHAKYA – LHASA (3650 M/430 KM),
Drive back to Lhasa. Remaining of the day will be free or personal activities. – Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 08: LHASA – KATHMANDU,
Drive to airport for final departure.
